St16 - einfaches Konzept - maximale Gestaltungsfreiheit
St16 ist ein erweiterbares, modulares Möbelsystem, gekennzeichnet durch neuartige Verbinder aus Kunststoff.
Die Verbinder sind in ihrer Form an Vierkantrohrabschnitte angelehnt. Sie werden über Schlitze in Boden und Steher formschlüssig
aufgesteckt und mit einem reversiblen Arretierungselement über ein Loch im Fachboden fixiert.
Ein frontseitiger Deckel stabilisiert die Verbinder und verdeckt die Stöße zwischen Horizontalen und Vertikalen.
Aus Bohrung und Verbinder ergeben sich gleichzeitig die Angelpunkte für Klapptüren und Rückwände.
Das St16 System wird derzeit aus 16 mm MDF-Platten hergestellt. Die Frontkanten werden durch eine Melaminbeschichtung betont.
Das Raster ist für gängige Buch- und Ordnerhöhen optimiert.
Die Steck-/Klemmverbindung lässt sich schnell und nahezu ohne Werkzeug montieren und demontieren.
Durch die Kombination von Einzel- und Doppelverbindern kann jeder einzelne Boden innerhalb des Schlitz-Rasters frei platziert werden
- sowohl auf gleicher Ebene wie versetzt - und auch im aufgebauten Zustand nachträglich umplatziert werden.
Der Verbinder ist technisches und optisches Detail. Er offenbart und betont die Konstruktion und bietet eine zusätzliche Möglichkeit
der optischen Gestaltung. Die Herstellung im Spritzgussverfahren erlaubt die Berücksichtigung von Platten-Maßtoleranzen und lässt
vielfältigste, farbliche Varianten zu. Raum für Farbgebung bieten auch die Plattenkanten sowie die Türen und Rückwände.

St16 - simple concept - maximum freedom of configuration
St16 is an expandable modular storage system characterized by a novel plastic connector.
The shape of the connector is modelled on a cross-cut of a squared tube.
The connector is inserted into a notch in the horizontal
and vertical shelf and fastened with a reversible locking device through a bore in the vertical shelf.
A cover plate stabilizes the connector and simultaneously hides the seam between the wooden panels.
Bore holes and connectors become the pivotal points for doors and back panels.
The St16 system is presently manufactured of 16 mm MDF panels. The front edges of the shelves are highlighted by a melamine coating.
The intervals of the notches ensure optimal usage for the most common heights of books and file folders.
The St16 system due to the novel connector is easily erected and dismantled nearly without a tools.
Due to the combination of single and double connectors each vertical shelf can be affixed to any notch,
either at the level of the adjoining shelf or at a different level, or can be moved to another level after the system is erected.
Doors and back panels can easily be added afterwards.
The connector is a technical as well as an optical detail. It reveals and accentuates the mode of construction and makes
the realization of various visual representations possible.
The manufacture by injection moulding permits adherence to tolerances of common panel-thickness and allows manifold colour creations.
Another possibility of adding colour is to the edges of the shelves, the doors and back panels.
